Most people call me Ash.
I'm the co-founder and CEO of Aimsio, where we build field operations software for the industrial world: construction, energy, and the crews that keep both moving. We started in Calgary in 2013, incorporated in the U.S. in 2025 with operations in Houston, and serve clients across North America.
I write about where field-services demand is heading, from project signals and rig counts to infrastructure spending, mostly on LinkedIn.
Before that, I spent eight years at the University of Calgary simulating biological systems with agent-based models. It turns out watching thousands of simple agents produce complex behavior is reasonable preparation for running a company.
Alongside the product, we run two free community resources for the field-services industry. These days I don't write the code; I direct the AI agents that build and run them.
